Kim’s suicide attempts

It isn’t easy to be a rap superstar’s wife. Kim Mathers has been through difficult emotional times during Eminem’s rapid ascencion to the top. She has also shown a lot of instability in her behavior. Kim never really managed to get rid of her drug and alcohol addiction. Both addictions remain demons she will have to fight if she wants to escape to jail.
Serious problems started in Eminem’s couple when Kim was caught by her husband kissing John Guerra. According to Kim, Marshall’s reaction was ‘overrated’, but we may strongly disagree with her. When you truly love somebody who happens to be your wife and you eventually catch the person cheating on you, you can get really mad. Honestly, I don’t know how I could react out of jealousy under such circumstances. Eminem’s reaction was just human.
As a consequence, Eminem filed divorce that he considered now as unavoidable.
One thing is sure: Kim hasn’t be really prepared to her ex husband’s fame and sharing him with the whole world must have been far from easy to handle. She also could hardly handle Eminem’s character beating the ‘Kim doll’ and she felt rejected by Marshall at this time.
Although she had been caught cheating on Marshall with John Guerra, the thought of divorcing from Marshall must have been unbearable to her, when she decided to kill herself in July 2000 in presence of her mother, Kathleen Sluck. Nathan, Eminem’s brother was caught in the middle of this tragic event.
Sterling Heights police received a 911 emergency call at 11 pm from Kathleen Sluck that has been recorded:
‘ Dispatcher: Sterling Heights 911.
‘ Mother: I need an ambulance.
‘ Dispatcher: What’s going on?
‘ Mother: My daughter is trying to commit suicide. She just cut her wrists.
‘ Dispatcher: Where is she right now?
‘ Mother: Walking through the house, dripping blood.
‘ Mother: Kim, put it down! Put it down!
‘ Dispatcher: What has she got?
‘ Mother: Put it down! Please, I love you, please put it down!
‘ Dispatcher: What has she got?
‘ Mother: A razor blade!
‘ Dispatcher: What does she have in her hand?
‘ Mother: A razor blade!
‘ Dispatcher: She’s got a razor blade in her hand, she’s threatening to use it again.
‘ Mother: Kim, please give me the razor.
‘ Dispatcher: Ask her if she’ll talk to me?

She was so desperate that she slit her wrists several times with a razor blade. When the police officers arrived at the Mathers’ home, they found Kim bleeding and crying. She told them : ‘ There has got to be a better place than this. ‘
When the drama happened, Eminem was performing at the Auburn Hills Palace with Snoop Dogg. According to Todd Nelson, Kim attended to the concert and to the post party show before trying to kill herself.
After the incident, Kim was sent to the hospital.
Dennis Dennehy, Eminem’s publicist, expressed on the subject after the drama :
“Eminem is obviously concerned about his wife’s well-being. As far as anything else, it’s a private matter, which they’ll be addressing privately.”
“She never wanted to be a celebrity. She was unfortunately thrust into the position. She needs time to heal both emotionally and physically,” Neil Rockind, Kim’s attorney said. Neil Rockind described his client ‘a very pleasant and likable person’.
During the period Kim divorced from Eminem till now, she never managed to get rid to her drug addiction and she has recently shown some emotional instability.
In June 2003, while Eminem was on his Anger Management Tour, Kim has been caught with cocaine bags and driving with a revoked driving licence in Harrisson Township. She had to face some felony charges in Court and failed to appear in Court several times. She even removed the tether that was supposed to monitor her moves out of her house.
On November the 10 th, she skipped a preliminary hearing in Court and suddenly disappeared without even Eminem knowing where she was.
Thanks to Todd Nelson, we now know that Kim wanted to commit suicide again in Cancun, Mexico. We also know that Eminem prevented her from committing suicide. Kim is a woman whose life has been far from easy and who needs to overcome a lot of instabilities and addictive behavior. Maybe she will manage to overcome those issues, since the Court gave her a second chance-at least for Hailie and Whitney-, her daughters.

Eminem’s next album

By the fourth quarter of 2003, Eminem’s fourth solo album was about half-way finished. But late last year, the majority of his songs such as “Bully,” “Come On,” “Monkey See, Monkey Do,” “Love You More” and “We As Americans” was leaked and made its way onto the Internet.
“I was about six to eight songs deep,” Eminem told XXL magazine. “Now I’m about three to four. It’s so painfull to have them things go; it’s all a work in progress. Choruses can be changed, lines can be changed, there are certain lines on the shit that I feel like I can hit better. Those [leaked songs] were a day in the studio, making a song, and you go home at night with it and that’s what you live with until you’re ready to mix it down. The mix from the rough version is like night and day.”
Eminem’s upcoming fourth album will along with 50 Cent’s second album be released in the third quarter of 2004. It features guest appearances from D-12 and G-Unit and production by Dr. Dre and Em himself.
“I really like Slim Shady,” Dr. Dre, who’s executive producing the album, commented. “I like him talking shit and pissing people off. That’s where he’s gonna go next, talking shit and raising eyebrows.”
“Eminem fans will not be disappoined,” manager Paul Rosenberg told XXL magazine. “He’s gonna have a lot of responses to everything that’s going on. No stones will be left unturned.”

Eminem’s sick mom wants a reunion

EMINEM’s estranged mother DEBBIE MATHERS is desperate to reconcile with her rapper son after learning she has a heart condition.
http://www.contactmusic.com/new/xmlfeed.nsf/0/6D6903BF1940DE9180256E240033D721!opendocument
Mathers is already battling breast cancer and now a source has told American showbiz magazine IN TOUCH she has been diagnosed with heart problems.
The source says, “I think her health is getting worse because of all the stress she’s under.”

Kimberly Mathers in Court for Sentencing

Eminem’s ex-wife was back in court to receive her sentence on drug charges:
http://www.wxyz.com/wxyz/nw_local_news/article/

Kimberly Mathers’ legal drama has been dragging on since last June, and this is due in part to the actions of Kim Mathers, herself. There were a couple of instances when Mathers didn’t show up for her court dates, and one point when Mathers removed the electronic tether that the court has put on her to monitor her whereabouts.
These are all circumstances that the judge will consider in determining if Eminem’s ex-wife should serve prison time or probation.
Action News was the only camera rolling in the courtroom. Judge Servitto told Kim Mathers, “The media would suggest that you should be treated harsher, that’s not the case in this court. You will be treated as anyone else in this court.”
Kim received two years probation for cocaine possessions and failure to use due care in passing an emergency vehicle, which are charges stemming from a tragic stop last summer.
The prosecutor dropped charges against Mathers for driving with a suspended license and maintaining a drug house as part of the plea agreement.
Judge Servitto warned, “If you screw that up however, it is automatic that you go to jail. Do you understand that?”
Mathers replied, “I understand that Your Honor.”
The judge wrapped up the sentencing by calling the probation an opportunity for Mathers, which he encourages her to take advantage of. The sentence allows Mathers to keep her driver’s license and if, at the end of two years, she follows the terms of her probation, her conviction could be sealed or expunged.

Facts about Hailie’s personality and education

We learn a lot about Hailie Jade from her proud daddy’s mouth :
“I just got off the phone with Hai Hai a lil while ago. She’s talking up a storm, she talks a lot. She loves to talk. She’ll say stuff out of the blue, big words that I didn’t even know she knew.”
Hailie seems to surprise her daddy day after day. Like many kids, she’s very talkative. Hailie seems to have an interesting personality. Maybe she is already conscious to be a little ‘ superstar ‘ :
“And she’s a character, man. She’s like me to the tenth power, she’s got such a personality. She runs around the house and she makes up little sayings and phrases.”
Of course, the little girl is conscious that her Dad is a famous person, but Eminem doesn’t want his daughter to be affected by his celebrity. Eminem doesn’t want his daughter to appear in each magazine. He wants her to live a normal childhood and he expressed his will to protect her from the media :
“Being this little, the only thing I want her to worry about is
playing ‘ What’s she going to play with today? Is she going to play
with dolls, is she going to color today?”

As he expresses it so well in ‘ Say Goodbye to Hollywood ‘, Eminem’s fight was to offer Hailie the life he never had. Of course, Eminem would like his daughter to be an actress, but not now.
He knows how much pressure is put on people in the show business ans he knows that would make Hailie’s life a living hell as a kid. That’s why he strongly disagreed with Kim when she wanted to find an agent for Hailie :
” Hailie is just a kid. She needs to grow like others her age and be in a place where she fits in and feels normal.J ust because her daddy is famous don’t mean shes got a one way ticket to stardom. Every seven year old wants to be famous, I just dont think Hailie’s old enough to make up her mind yet. She’s young and there will be time for her to act when she’s done with school.”
Eminem takes his role as a father very seriously. He is very cautious concerning the impact his music could have on his daugher:
“The more adult I’m becoming, the more I’m realizing that [my music]
might have an affect on her, or it might scare her, or she might hear
a word or a sentence that she doesn’t know how to take. I’d just
rather not even play it around her.”

That’s also why he made clean versions for her to listen to.
Eminem acts as a responsible father and wants to give Hailie the best education:
“I’m not as religious as I should be, but we do try and instill it in
our daughter. We try to teach her wrong from right, having been as
wrong as we’ve been.”

Marshall knows how much kids who surround his daughter may bother her, constantly trying to get in touch with him through Hailie:
“She has to have something normal in her life to help her fit in as much as possible. It’s hard for her because everywhere she is, all kids wanna know is can I meet your dad?”
This is an example of a typical day Eminem and his daughter spend together when her famous Dad is at home:
‘When I’m home, I wake her up in the morning, I feed her some cereal, watch a little TV, take her to school and pick her up. Lately, I’ve been taking her to the studio, because that’s where I spend most of my time. She has fun there, there’s video games for her and stuff. Coloring books and crayons – thank God for those. We watch a lot of movies, just typical shit. She’s real into The Powerpuff Girls and Hey Arnold! and Dora the Explorer — ever seen that one? It’s the same episode all week long because it teaches kids numbers and how to speak Spanish. By Friday, you know it by heart. I watch that with her, then I go listen to my songs over and over. I’m gonna fucking jump off a bridge.’
Eminem is so conscious that political tensions and dramas in the world can affect and our kids’ life:
‘I try to keep Hailie sheltered from most of the bullshit. When September 11th happened, I didn’t tell her that morning. I just didn’t know how to explain it to her. I switched on the TV and saw the second plane hit. She was still sleeping. I got her up and took her to school, and within a couple of days she heard about it there. Those are things that I have trouble with, explaining to her all the fucked-up shit in the world. I try not to drive myself crazy with what to say if she asks me certain things. There’s a few things that are going to be tough to deal with.’
Eminem’s attitude towards education is liberal. When she was little, the full mouthed rapper tried not to swear around Hailie, but he doesn’t forbid people to use them around her. He knows that sooner or later, she will hear some cuss words:
‘But, you know, Hailie listens to my music, and I go back and forth with myself a lot about it. When I was six, music flew by my head. But I caught it if there was a swear word. If I have a song that has a lot of swear words in a row, I make her clean versions and play those in the car. I don’t cuss around my daughter. If someone else is around and they say the f-word, she’s heard it before; I don’t say, “Hey, watch your mouth around my daughter.” That would be ridiculous. After all, I’m Eminem, Mr. Potty-Mouth King. I try to be a liberal parent and be open about things. If somebody is smoking a joint in a movie and she asks, “Daddy?” I say it’s a cigarette — a big cigarette if it’s a Cheech and Chong movie. She doesn’t know about drugs yet, and she’s not old enough for me to explain that they’re doing drugs and those are bad.’
Recently Eminem thought Hailie was old enough to learn some swear words from him:
http://www.contactmusic.com/new/xmlfeed.nsf/0/D9E0CCF975222F7D80256D350057A48A?opendocument
“She’s going to hear it in school regardless, do you know what I mean. I would rather be able to educate her at home.
“If she ever has a question or something about a song, I try to explain it in the best way that I can, how she’s going to understand. She loves music, she loves hip-hop, and to me that’s a good thing.”

Eminem is so right about it: kids learn so many cuss words at school and my own sons have learnt their first cuss words at school.
J.R Watkins, the author of the ‘Cleaning Out My Closet’ book can testify that Marshall is a dedicated daddy to his daughter:
“He’s a very good daddy. He’s trying to give Hailie more of a normal life than he had.”
The main reason why Eminem keeps working so hard for his career is for his daughter to be proud of him. One day she will understand why her loving dad spent so much time outside of their home:
“The awards will one day help me explain to my daughter, Hailie Jade, why he spent so much time during the past two years on the road and in the recording studio.”
“The main thing I started this whole career based on was acceptance and respect. So I guess if trophies mean respect or whatever, it’s cool. I’ve got this trophy case at home that I try and keep my accomplishments in, just so that Hailie can see these things when she gets older and realizes that daddy wasn’t just gone to be gone.”
To all of you who doubted it, Eminem takes his daughter’s education, her environment and her well being very seriously. Thanks to him, she has a fairly normal life and when she’ll be older she will realize how much her loving father has done for her.

Eminem’s Ex Won’t Be Going To Jail

Kimberly Mathers Reaches Plea Deal
http://www.clickondetroit.com/news/2781067/detail.html
The ex-wife of rapper Eminem is not going to jail after reaching a plea deal Wednesday morning.
Kimberly Mathers was charged with possession of cocaine after police found drugs in her car.
Police said they found cocaine in Mathers’ purse and in the glove box of her Cadillac Escalade during a traffic stop on Interstate 94 on June 10. Her vehicle was pulled over in a construction zone north of 12 Mile Road. Police said they stopped her because she failed to yield to cars in the center lane just before a construction barricade, according to Local 4 reports.
Mathers was also charged with maintaining a drug house after people were found using drugs in a hotel room rented in her name, Local 4 reported.
Mathers reached a plea deal with the Macomb County prosecutor’s office during her sentencing Wednesday on both charges in Macomb County Circuit Court. Under the plea deal, Mathers was sentenced to two years of probation, Local 4 learned.
Mathers divorced rap star Marshall Mathers, aka Eminem, in 2001. They have a daughter, Hailie Jade. Kimberly Mathers also reportedly has another daughter from a relationship after her split from Eminem

Eminem fires back at The Source

The controversial issue of The Source purporting Eminem to be a racist hit newsstands last week, so it’s no surprise that the rapper has already fired back at the magazine.
http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1484462/20040120/eminem.jhtml?headlines=true
In an untitled freestyle on the Green Lantern mixtape The Invasion Part Three: Countdown to Armageddon, Eminem aims to both elaborate on and get past the controversy stirred up by an old song in which he spit offensive lyrics directed at black women (see “The Source Digs Up Tape Of Eminem Using Racial Slurs”).
He raps: “Oh, sorry, yo so sorry, whoa/ But that was a long time ago/ When I was a Joe Schmo/ Rapping in Joe Blow’s basement/ I apologized for it before, so/ Either accept it or you don’t/ And let’s move on/ If I ain’t shown that I’ve grown/ You can get the bone.” Later, he says, “Word on my daughter, I told ya/ That I love this culture/ Don’t let ’em insult ya/ I’mma tell you once more again/ This is the environment I was brought up in.”
Of course, it wouldn’t be an Eminem track if he also didn’t get in a few digs as well, and The Source co-owners Dave Mays and Ray Benzino are the butt of many jokes.
“I got a riddle/ What’s little and talks big/ With midget arms and creamy filling in the middle?/ That will do anything to throw dirt on my name?/ Even if it means walking the whole Mediterranean?/ Isn’t it Albanian? Armenian? Iranian? Tasmanian?/ No it’s Dave, Raymond and a ho’.”
Along with the cover story “Eminem: Cleaning Out White America’s Closet,” the February issue of The Source also includes a CD featuring snippets of two Eminem songs that Benzino claims prove Em’s racist tendencies (see “Source Can Release Excerpts of Eminem’s Controversial Rap”).
In addition to the Green Lantern freestyle, Eminem answers back at The Source’s charges in rival magazine XXL’s March issue. In it, Eminem takes on each of The Source’s points of contention, including when the tape was made, his business relationship with Dr. Dre and 50 Cent, and his cognizance of being a white star in black music.
“The worst part that’s gonna come out of this is people are gonna realize that I was like any other stupid kid at 16,” he says in the article by Sacha Jenkins. “You do and say dumb sh–. You don’t even necessarily mean it. But you do it and you don’t think about it. … That’s part of growing up and discovering who you are.”
The March issue of XXL hits stands February 3. Eminem’s spokesperson could not be reached for comment.

Jerry Mathers vs Marshall Mathers

Who would believe that Eminem could be sued simply for using the name Mathers on his records? A few years ago, former child actor Jerry Mathers who played in ‘Leave It To Beaver’ from 1957 to 1963 intented to file a lawsuit against the famous rapper. Somebody of Jerry Mather’s entourage, probably an attorney, said:
“My man has an image with the kids who listen to him and buy his music. They all know his real name, and if they confuse him with that Beaver guy, well, there goes his street cred, you know?”
How could somebody be that stupid to confuse a 55 years old man who played in TV series aimed at kids with the rabble rousing full mouthed rapper Marshall Mathers? This is one of the silliest thing I have ever heard! We may ask if Jerry Mathers lacked money at this time of his life. Eminem has the same family name as him, so what? He didn’t choose it intentionally. Come on, that’s just plain stupid, it is as stupid as accusing him of being born white!
I’m questioning myself if Jerry Mathers is real when he says:
“Gee, I’ve worked so hard to preserve the innocence of my name. I still make money off that old show but now I’m starting to get
comments about whether or not Marshall and I are related. We most certainly are not. The guy’s really messing up my plan and I want him to knock it off.I
‘ve had enough trouble maintaining the innocence of my nickname of Beaver from the show. Anytime I can make a public appearance that relates to the furry river animal, or the television show, I do it. I want that image to remain. There are always some hecklers laughing about the double meaning, but I think I’ve done well keeping it clean. Although, it was hard for several years after that movie Basic Instinct came out.”
When asked to elaborate, Mathers said, “Let’s just say that Sharon Stone has never been on my party invitation list.”
“Everyone who’s seen the show remembers how the opening credits went. The familiar tune is played as each of the actors are shown and the announcer says our real names. Can’t you just hear the announcer saying ‘and Jerry Mathers as The Beaver.’ And there is my cute, smiling, innocent face.”
Logically, confusing Jerry Mathers with Marshall Mathers is quite impossible. It is as silly as confusing Rufus Johnson (D12 member Bizarre) with basket ball player Magic Johnson! Since the TV series are old stuff, old generations are more likely to focus an interest on it. Jerry Mathers doesn’t cuss. So why is is so afraid for his image? I guess he is not. People who have filed lawsuits against Eminem have two main motivations most of the time: money and publicity. Why would he forbid Marshall’s use of his real name? There is no good reason for that. I don’t know if Jerry Mathers actually filed his lawsuit against Eminem, but his motivations don’t seem to be sincere at all. I sometimes wish people could give Eminem a break.

My Dad’s Gone Crazy

‘My Dad’s Gone Crazy’ is a mixture of funny Daddy-daughter complicity, of filthy and serious topics. At the beginning of the song, Eminem starts acting crazy, taking some crack and gets interrupted by his daughter.
The first verse is a nice Daddy-daughter comedy. Eminem is a loving father to his daughter and he has a wonderful complicity reationship with her.
Being asked by MTV two years ago how he would rate himself as a father, Eminem replied :
‘ I do the best I can right now.I truly believe I’m doing the right thing and I do a good job. I’m a father before anything. I’m a father before I pick up the mic. I’m a father before I’m Eminem. Of course I’m not the perfect parent. There may be things I’m doing wrong and i will find out in 10, 15 years, but right now, I’m doing the best job I can and that’s all I can do. ‘
But while the listener enjoys the funny dialogue between Marshall and Hailie , he is also braught back to more serious and even scary subjects like the drama of September the 11th :
‘ There’s no tower too high,
No plane
that I can’t learn how to fly’ ‘

Both lines are a clear allusion to the terrorists’ planes destroying the twin towers. At the time Eminem wrote this song, people were in tremendous need of exorcising the drama.
Hailie’s voice in the whole song gives a soft note in opposition to serious suject matters and dark humor.
In the first verse, Eminem appears to be lost in his drug addiction.
The second verse brings us first back to Debbie’s sick behavior from the past. It has been done on purpose : Eminem wants people to acknowledge that he’s a tender loving Daddy to his daughter in opposition to Debbie.
The song gets filthier afterwards. Some people may think Eminem is crazy for doing such a record with such a sexual content(which is indeed very funny to the adult listener) with his daughter. For those who don’t know, Marshall makes clean versions for his daughter to listen to the song and to sing along :
‘ The song has swearing on it so I made a clean version that I play for her. There are still a few swear words on it but that’s cool ‘ as long as she knows not to repeat them. ‘
The third verse’s first lines express what most major fans think about Eminem and also point out the great misinterpretion risk for people who know him less :
‘My songs can make you cry, take you by surprise at the same time, can make
you dry your eyes with the same rhyme
see what you’re seein’ is a genius at work, which to me isn’t work, so it’s
easy to misinterpret it at first…’

It is so true that Eminem’s songs contain so many different elements, he manages to put you emotionally high. His art is a subtle mastery of the English language, he manages to make you feel happy and sad in the same song, he makes you feel the way he feels.
Like many geniuses, his work doesn’t appear as work to him. The way Eminem places words and syllables is just like a game to him.
People who don’t go deep into his lyrics may misinterpret his lyrics at first sight, but anybody who will take time to study them will discover a talented artist with a great sense of humor.
While the third verse goes on with a mixture of funny allusions to Vanilla Ice and to R. Kelly, it suddenly goes back to the drama of September the 11 th. Through his own immense pain(he remembers Ronnie’s death, and seems to keep asking God why his uncle Ronnie had to die, like many people who experienced the loss of a dear person in their lives), he shows much compassion to the victims of the World Trade Center.
Marshall and his daughter also appear as two accomplices against the world.
Eminem ends addressing to the parents, he shows his understanding for people who are not ready to let their kids listen to him:
‘and that’s pretty much the gist of it, the parents are pissed but the kids
love it. 9 millimeter heater stashed in 2 seaters with meat cleavers
I don’t blame you, I wouldn’t let Hailie listen to me neither…’

Parents, remember that clean versions of Eminem CDs do exist, but let your kids listen to their music, don’t forbid it to them. Why not take time to listen to their Cds too? You may be (positively) surprised…
Intro
Hello boys and girls, today we are gunna talk about father and daughter
relationships.
Do you have a daddy? I’ll bet you do, whos your daddy.
Hailie: Daddy what are you doing?
Eminem and Hailie: Okay then! Everybody listen up!
Eminem: I’m goin’ to hell! Who’s comin’ with me???!?
Hailie: Somebody please help him! I think my dad’s gone crazy…
Verse 1
There’s no mountain I can’t climb, there’s no tower too high, no plane that I
can’t learn how to fly
what do I gotta do to get through to you, to show you there ain’t nothin’ I
can’t take this chainsaw to?
Fuckin’ brains, brawn and brass balls, I cut’em off, and got’em pickled and
bronzed in a glass jar inside of a hall
with my framed autographed sunglasses with Elton John’s name on my drag wall,
I’m out the closet, I’ve been lyin’ my ass off
All this time me and Dre been fuckin’ with hats off (Suck it, Marshall). So
tell Laura and her husband to back off
before I push this muthafuckin’ button and blast off and launch one at these
Russians and that’s all
blow every fuckin’ thing except Afghanistan on the map off. When will it
stop? When will I knock the crap off?
Hailie, tell ’em baby,( My Dad’s Lost It!!)
Chorus
There’s really nothin’ else to say, I… I can’t explain it
I think my dad’s gone crazy
A little help from Hailie Jade, won’t you tell ’em baby
I think my dad’s gone crazy
There’s nothin’ you could do or say that could ever change me
I think my dad’s gone crazy
There’s no one on earth that can save me, not even Hailie
I think my dad’s gone crazy
Verse 2
It’s like my mother always told me, rana rana rana rana rana rana rana rana
rana rana and codeine and
goddammit you little muthafucker if you ain’t got nuthin’ nice to say then
don’t say nuthin’
…..uh, fuck that shit bitch eat a muthafuckin’ dick, chew on a prick and lick
a million muthafuckin’ cocks per second, I’d rather put out a muthafuckin’
gospel record
I’d rather be a pussy whipped bitch, eat pussy, and have pussy lips glued to
my face with a clit ring in my nose then quit bringin’ my flows
quit givin’ me my ammo. Can’t you see why I’m so mean? If y’all leave me
alone this wouldn’t be my M.O.
I wouldn’t have to go, eenee, meenee, meini, mo, catch a homo by his toe, man
I don’t know no more. am I the only fuckin’ one who’s normal any more?
Dad…
Chorus
Verse 3
My songs can make you cry, take you by surprise at the same time, can make
you dry your eyes with the same rhyme
see what you’re seein’ is a genius at work, which to me isn’t work, so it’s
easy to misinterpret it at first
cus when I speak, it’s tongue-in-cheek, I’d yank my fuckin’ teeth before I’d
ever bite my tongue
I’d slice my gums, get struck by fuckin’ lightning twice at once and die and
come back as Vanilla Ice’s son
and walk around the rest of my life spit on, and kicked and hit with shit
everytime I sung
like R. Kelly as soon as “Bump and Grind” comes on. More pain inside of my
brain than the eyes of a little girl
inside of a plane aimed at the World Trade, standin’ on Ronnie’s grave,
screamin’ at the sky, till clouds gather, it’s Clyde Mathers and Bonnie Jade
and that’s pretty much the gist of it, the parents are pissed but the kids
love it. 9 millimeter heater stashed in 2 seaters with meat cleavers
I don’t blame you, I wouldn’t let Hailie listen to me neither…
Chorus
Hailie:
Crazy
Ha Ha Ha
You’re Funny Daddy!

How Benzino’s worthless “war” against Eminem started

What should we think of a man who once praised Eminem as the best rapper and who changed his mind just to launch his career as an untalented MC with no skills ?
This is how Benzino expressed about Eminem a few years ago. Being asked if he thought Marshall Mathers was the best white MC ever, he answered :
‘ I would have to say yeah, no doubt. But cats like Jo Jo Pellegrino are kinda nice too. I like his lyrics, I’m not gonna front. ‘
And those are the words he stated when he changed his mind :
“We come from the same neighborhood and he ain’t got no street credibility. He ain’t no gangsta or soldier. He was in the basement practicing his skills while the real world was going on outside. He’s catching these bullshit cases. Smacking up John Guerra, the one who was kissing his wife, with an unloaded gun. In the song, Eminem’s saying that he’s 6’2″ and that ain’t the case. John Guerra is 5’4″ or 5’2″. What kind of tough guy are you?”
Eminem no street credibility ? That’s so funny coming from a fake gangsta wannabe such as Benzino. Eminem has been beaten up as a kid and shoot at when he was a teenager :
“I was walking home from my boy’s house, through the Bel-Air Shopping Center. All these black dudes rode by in a car, flippin’ me off. I flipped them off back, they drove away, and I didn’t think nothin’ of it. Evidently they parked the car. One dude came up, hit me in the face and knocked me down. Then he pulled out a gun. I ran right out my shoes, dog. I thought that’s what they wanted.”
In fact Eminem was wrong. Those guys didn’t want his shoes. Next day, the shoes had been left at the same place.
“That’s how I knew it was racial.”
Eminem was saved by a white guy who threatened those guys with a gun and drove him home.
Debbie recalls :
He came in wearing just his socks and underwear. They had taken his jogging suit off him, taken his boombox. They would have taken him out, too.”
He seems to forget that he used to live across 8 Mile and that life in the black neighborhood was much more than risky for a white man and his family.
Benzino ignited the war between him and Eminem by calling the talented rapper ‘Vanilla Ice 2003’.
In a track called ‘ Pull Your Skirt Up ‘, he started dissing Eminem :
“Five shades darker, you’d be Canibus/ And no one would care about your complicated rhyme style/ … What you know about pumpin’ on the block ’til you freeze?/ What you know about cutting up rocks, duckin’ [detectives]?/ What you know about facing a grand jury indictment?/ As far as I’m concerned, you’re just industry excitement.”
Has Benzino suddenly become jealous of the best MC or did he need some publicity from the music industry ? Probably both. In his diss track he admits Eminem ‘s complicated rhyme style and he seems to be enraged, because -deep inside- he perfectly knows he will never be at Eminem’s level. It is laughable, Benzino has no skills, plus there are millions of annoying party rappers like him with the same style. The man lacks originality and has proven to be a perfect dumbass. But this wasn’t enough for Benzino who is so full of himself that he isn’t afraid at all of looking ridiculous in front of the world.
Benzino had no real arguments against Eminem, so he choose to attack him on his skin color and to says stupid things about Hailie. He said he intented to kill Marshall and to rape and kill Hailie( whose name he is unable to spell).
Eminem’s response to Benzino’s diss tracks were ‘ I don’t wanna ‘ and ‘ Nail In The Coffin ‘. Both lyrics have been reunited in the well known ‘ Nail In The Coffin song ‘ where Eminem verbally kills Benzino. ‘ The Sauce ‘ is also another diss against the Source magazine.
Benzino aka Raymond Scott aka Raydog has also proven he’s phoney. When he met Obie Trice in PuertoRico, he shook his hands and congratulated him on ‘ Rap Name ‘. Eminem is making fun of it in ‘ Nail In The Coffin ‘.
Obie Trice talks about his encounter with Benzino :
‘ The thing with Benzino, I seen him in Puerto Rico and he gave it up to me because I made “Fat Tape” in The Source that month. It was a big thing for me, and I was excited, I grew up on that. So to see “Rap Name” on “Fat Tape” I thought it was dope, so I seen him in the lobby of the hotel and he shook my hand like, “Yeah, I got you! Dawg, you tight, nigga!” Ya know, he’s shaking my hand, looking me in the eyes telling me that stuff, but if I was a busta, he should have played me like one right then, face to face. So I only think there’s a few real cats out here man, that’s why I don’t be trying to meet these cats, I keep to myself, my family and my crew. These cats ain’t real. ‘
As 50 Cent said it so well, Benzino is trying to get some attention. He’s a bad rapper with no talent.
“The situation with Eminem and Benzino, and that’s not beef. That’s a person just trying to get attention, you know what I mean, ’cause they never had any altercations or any run-ins or anything. So I’m, like, ‘That’s corny.'”
“If he had a beef, I’d probably be in the middle of it–a real situation, you know what I mean–but that ain’t nothing. It’s obvious he’s taking the shot to try and get on, you know what I mean?”

You may not like Eminem and you have the right to. But you should be clever enough to see Benzino is trying to manipulate people’s minds against Eminem. His mic rating is also far from being honest. Check this article out :

Frankly, I wish more people could open their eyes about Raymond Scott and Dave Mays’ hypocrisy. I’m disappointed when people are telling me that Eminem is a racist and that he’s making money on black people’s back.
Unfortunately, Eminem has made a mistake in his past and dissed black women on a tape. It is not so much important to know if this tape is from 1988 or 1993. Matter of fact , it is older than a decade. When Eminem released it, he was even encouraged by Blacks to do it. He did it out of anger because he had dumped his black girlfriend. Believe me, if he was such a racist, he wouldn’t have dated a black woman at a time of high racial tensions in Detroit. Eminem regrets it and apologized. Now we seriously need to turn the page. The mistake is regrettable, but it doesn’t correspond to the way Marshall considers black people.
Eminem has helped people from different conditions and origins to access hip hop and his audience is universal. But we shouldn’t forget that his main audience was black when he began emceeing in Detroit. Anybody who focuses a real interest on Eminem will be brought back to his roots and -by extension- to black people.
I’m also getting tired of people telling me all the time : ‘ just because Eminem hang out with a few Blacks doesn’t mean he’s not a racist ‘. No, people ! You are wrong ! Eminem grew up on the black side of Detroit. He used to live among Blacks and has shared so much with them. He’s been signed by a black producer. Now that he’s wealthy and famous, his best friends are still the same black men he used to rap with when he was underground. He never forgot his fellows from the D12 crew. And people signed to Shady/Aftermath are black. I have said it many times, but I consider that things need to be put perfectly clear : Eminem shows love and concern towards black people, he feels next to them and even wished he was born black. He has proven his love and concern in his interviews and songs.
Don’t believe what both big racists Dave Mays( who needs hip hop music to respect black people) and Benzino( who encouraged another white MC to use the N word) to destroy the career a talented MC struggled so hard for.
