Cyrus Phantasm of Buffalo introduces you into his world

Let me introduce you to an underground emcee from Buffalo, New York. Incisive in his words, confident in his way of rapping, Cyrus shoots at you with thousands of bullets accompanied by an army of rough instrumentals. His style resembles nothing you have heard yet in hip hop.

Get It In is a wicked Spongebob remix that probably won t leave the listeners indifferent. Innocently starting like the Spongebob refrain, the song suddenly takes another, more filthy turn. Cyrus astutely jungles with words within a crazy party atmosphere. Trumpets, car noises, chords in the background reeinforce the nasty atmosphere created by the inventive lyrics. Have a look at this Spongebob remix, I recommend it to you.

AR s is built on rapid drum beats combined with softer keyboard sounds. Cyrus stormy flow delivery will punch you right in the face and take you into his hustle.

Jihad Instrumentals is built on oriental melodies and instrumentals. The rhythm and the drum beats strongly suggest a war atmosphere and soldiers marching on. I partucilarly appreciated the use of the instrumentals that are a mix up of softness and combativity. Rhythm and instrumentals create a beautiful harmony. Bagpipes leave a place for freedom and poetry, despite the war oriented track. This is truly a must hear!

Grind Time is a song many people can relate to. Cyrus Phantasm summarizes the rough, struggling times. The Grind song is an encouragement to all of you who keep struggling to achieve your goals. If persevere till the end, you ll be a winner.

I loved the beautifully rhythmic song. Violins in the background totally enhance the beauty of the song.

In short, I d highly advice any of you to check Cyrus Phantasm s page. You won t regret it!

  1. WOW!!!! I Feel REALLY important now but I have to give credit where Credit is due.. I’m a producer, not an MC but I’m lucky enough to work with a talent group as follows:

Get it in – Devilish Angel feat. Kosovo Bannano (prod. by Cyrus Phantasm)
I was @ Mossburg Records (now my newfound home) one day with Bannano and I started playing with the “spongebob” sample. I made the beat, didnt like it, then made another one, didn’t like that either.. D.N.A told me I should just use both. So when we did and Devilish Angel got a hold of it, the rest was history.

AR’s – Dave B feat. A-Mobb (prod. by Cyrus Phantasm)
Long time friend Dave-B came over to my studio after being M.I.A. for a few years. He was traveling and struck a note with 40Cal. from Dipset. To make a long story short, he told me he was working on a project and he needed beats. So I started a brand new track on the spot. By the time I finished the music they (Dave & A-Mobb) had already written a track to the track. The entire process took us 2 hours total.

Jihad Instrumental – (prod by Cyrus Phantasm & D.N.A)
We were in the studio just BSin’ and we started playing with this Arab sample. I started working on the beat and ran out of ideas. DNA heard something in the beat so he played out some deep strings and i said, “THAT’S IT!!!!”. so we decided to finish it up in the morning. I woke up @ 5am bored so i started working on the beat and finished it by accident… But I DID feel it was necessary to inform everyone I didnt do it by myself. 😉

Grind Time – Devilish Angel (prod by Cyrus Phantasm)
Devilish came to the Mossburg Studio with a track he had written but needed a beat. So he recorded the vocals WITHOUT ANY MUSIC, just the metronome. The next day I composed a track around his vocals.

Fast Life – Devilish Angel feat Rook (prod. by Cyrus Phantasm)
I still dont know how this track happened… lol

And now I’m back into the swing of things with Ja, CEO of Expressed Entertainment/EXE Records and we have a few suprises instore for everyone.

So I guess that sums it up. And I’d like to that you Isabelle Esling for the blog and your feedback on everthing. if you ever need anything just ask ;-).
