Eminem’s Ex-Wife Jailed After Cocaine Use

The ex-wife of rapper Eminem was ordered jailed without bond Friday after admitting to her probation officer that she was using cocaine, state prison officials said.
Kimberly Mathers tested positive for cocaine in a Jan. 29 urine test, said Russ Marlan, a spokesman for the Michigan Department of Corrections. In a meeting Friday with the probation officer, she admitted using the drug, he said.
Mathers, 28, faces up to five years in prison for violating the conditions of her probation, Marlan said.
Mathers was sentenced on Jan. 21 to two years probation after pleading guilty to charges of possessing 25 grams or less of cocaine and failing to give adequate space to an emergency vehicle. The charges stemmed from a June traffic stop.
She was barred from using alcohol or nonprescription drugs and ordered to undergo random drug testing.
Mathers’ lawyer did not return a telephone message left late Friday at his office.
Mathers and Eminem, whose legal name is Marshall Bruce Mathers III, have an 8-year-old daughter.
