In don’t think It’s so much that being sober is ruining his edge, but that the mood-stabilizing medication he’s on is keeping him from experiencing intense emotions to illustrate on the pad like he did previously.

He’s a Manic-Depressive, so he has intense emotional/thought processes, making his potential and aim for lyrics pretty much infinite.

Of course, if he did begin to take illicit drugs again, he’d be thrown of emotional balance again, probably leading to some new hits.

It’s cool he’s sober, but now i have to be high to listen to him. When I listen to Marshall Mathers LP, It’s like i am getting high. It’s like he make’s his good time, your good time, without all the side-effects
