Setting the record straight: The Eminem Blog is not “Eminem’s blog”!

Today I am addressing to all of you. I am being attacked (unless I missed the point) because I dare to state my personal point of view about Barack Obama on the Eminem blog, a place I have been running for years now, with Gavin Sheridan’s precious support (I previously used to be a contributing writer for Gavin’s blog).
I have been misquoted numerous times since I started writing on the net. But the current attack is beyond belief. Some people (who can’t be serious) think I am speaking in Eminem’s name. Moreover, they imply that I pretend to be the spokesman for Eminem’s political views.
As the “About Me” part of the Eminem points it out with a maximum of clarity, my name is Isabelle Esling. I am the author of a biographical essay about Eminem. I am a freelance music journalist whose main topics are Eminem and hip hop related, but who is also audacious enough to dare to explore other subjects of interest, such as politics, lifestyle, humanities, for instance…
As I always stated it with honesty, I am in NO WAY related to Eminem. I never met him, although I had the chance to meet some of his fellows at a concert back in 2003.
I have no contact to Eminem, nor am I on his payroll.
I don’t know what Eminem or his Shady Records fellows’ opinions about Obama are. All I know is that Eminem always expressed his strong opposition towards President Bush in his music. He also once stated he’d vote for John Kerry in the past. But honestly, I don’t care.
I am entitled to my opinion, as well as Eminem is to his.
It is not because I write on a place that is Eminem related that I should not expose my personal opinions. By the way, if this is deranging you in one way or another, just don’t read me. I don’t understand why all the fuss about one single Barack Obama article, when the whole cobweb is full of articles dedicated to him!
Anyway, would I add my own copyright if I pretented to be Eminem and to be speaking in his name?
Get some common sense!

It is not exactly that…they don’t think I am Eminem, they think i am trying to present my opinions as his…which i find insulting!
I never pretended to speak in his name…I am just a fan of his, but a total different person…i have my own brain to think lol don’t need Em to think in my place

Here was a response when i told them I do write about Em, hip hop and a wide range of other subjects…any objection?
I spare you the criticism about Obama (anybody is entitled to his/her opinion), but here is the part that bothers me:
”’One more word I don’t think it is right to use someone elses information to get yours out there. Honesty is the best. You are not Eminem so stop pretending and come clean.”
How can those idiots say ‘ I am pretending” all of you who know me , perfectly know i have always taken the risk to be myself!
