Hey BeeKat, i read somewhere that When I’m Gone could be eminems last single and that he is taking off time to be with his family and that he is retireing. I hope this isn’t true, but somehow i think that the lyrics really back up what the article said that “looking down on you smileing” is really the fact that his music carrear is now over and he has relised that his music has changed his life for the better. I hope i’m wrong when i say this because i want to keep hearing eminems music and without thats the 1hr bus rides to school just wouldn’t be the same.

Yep if I was at their position (come) and if they opened me his music, I think I’d wake up too. Even when you’re in coma, you can hear his music and it’s a very spiritual thing.
Isa I have a question, that When I’m Gone song’s chorus, I used to think it was written for Hailie, like that “when I’m gone for a concert or something don’t mourn”
But it’s told it’s for fans, like “when I’m gone for a break don’t mourn” Who is the song written for?
And he says “just know that I’m looking down on you smiling.” Whats that mean, “looking down”? Like if he’s death, and looking down from the sky.
It really confused me, will you please make an explanation?

yea, many of those stories from fellow fans are very emotional…i have commented on that story you are talking about in my archives…in fact, Em’s music has healed 2 girls who were near to death, this 12 year old girl and another 17 year old girl…i do believe that music-Em’s music in particular- has a curative power:)
